Schon seit seiner allerersten Radiosendung ist Charly bekannt dafür Menschen zu verladen oder Sprüche zu klopfen. Sein Moderationstrainer Bernd Roller sagte einmal, dass er diese besondere Art der Personality entwickelt hat, mit der er anderen Leuten auf den Mund guckt und das ausspricht, was sich sonst keiner traut auszusprechen.

Von lächerlichen Telefonaten bis hin zum Stand-Up-Entertainment ohne Netz und doppelten Boden hatte Charly alles durch und war auf der Suche nach neuen Anreizen.

Seine Fans und ein Teil seiner engen Freunde lagen ihm schon seit längerem mit der Idee einer Comedy-Show in den Ohren. Fast 13 Jahre lang lehnte Charly das ab, er hätte ohnehin keine Zeit gehabt sich in die Materie einzuarbeiten. Thomas, einer seiner engsten Freunde, fixte ihn dann in einer Novembernacht 2012 schliesslich mit einigen spannenden Impulsen richtig an. Bereit das Thema ernsthaft anzugehen begab sich Charly auf die Suche nach einer geeigneten Räumlichkeit und stiess schliesslich auf die Hardthalle in Neulussheim, gerade 300 Meter von seinem Zuhause entfernt.
His fanbase and some of his close friends always got by with the idea of him doing a comedy show. Charly refused that plan for almost 13 years and did really find no time to work out himself into that business. One of his closest friends, Thomas, was the one to kick him right by giving some nice impulses at one night in november 2012. Willing to get the whole thing started Charly was looking for the right place to go to and finally got located at the Hardthalle in Neulussheim, just 300 meters from his home.
Am 08.Juni 2013 waren ca 350 Gäste und Freunde dabei, als Charly sein Debut als Stand-Up-Comedian gab. Die eindrucksvollste Demonstration dass hier wirklich alles live und ohne Netz und doppelten Boden geschieht, spiegelte sich in der Länge der Show wieder – nach 255 Minuten unterbrach Charly die Show fürs erste und kündigte zum schnellstmöglichen Termin die Fortsetzung an, mit all dem, was hier nicht mehr unterzubringen war.
By the 8 June 2013 about 350 guests and friends were around, when Charly started his debut as stand-up Comedian. The most impressive way to proof that this is all stand-up and coming up live was in duration of the show – after 255 minutes Charly stopped the show and already announced a second part to be coming soon, containing all the stuff he had to drop now.
